Terms of Service
By installing or using ReportWise (the "app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.
1. What ReportWise is
ReportWise is a private vault for medical-report images, with an optional feature that sends redacted images to a third-party vision AI model for plain-language explanations and comparisons.
2. Not a medical device, not medical advice
ReportWise is not a medical device and does not perform diagnosis. The AI output is for educational and informational purposes only. It may contain mistakes, hallucinations, or omissions. Any medical decision must be confirmed with a licensed clinician. Do not delay seeking care because of anything the app says.
3. Accuracy of AI output
AI models can misread numbers, units, abbreviations, and handwriting; they can compare the wrong reports if your dates are wrong; they can output confident-sounding text that is incorrect. You are responsible for verifying anything material before acting on it.
4. Your responsibility for redaction
The app gives you tools to crop and paint over sensitive information before any image leaves your device. You decide what to redact. ReportWise cannot determine which fields in your reports are sensitive in your country, and does not perform automatic redaction. If you upload an image without redacting it, that information will be sent to the AI provider on your behalf.
5. Credits and quotas
Each analysis consumes credit based on the model you pick and the number of images. New devices receive a small trial quota. Additional credit is sold via Apple StoreKit or Google Play Billing as a one-time top-up — not a subscription. Credits are non-refundable once consumed, except where refunds are required by the platform's own policy.
6. In-app purchases and refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple or Google. Refund requests must be filed through your platform account (App Store or Google Play). We process refunds when the platform notifies us, by removing the corresponding credit from your entitlement.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is not yours to share, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- Probe, scrape, or attempt to overwhelm our proxy server;
- Reverse-engineer the app to defeat quota or purchase verification;
- Use the app to provide a medical service to other people.
8. No warranty, limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReportWise's total liability for any claim arising out of the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Termination
You can stop using ReportWise at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend access if we detect abuse of the proxy or quota system. Your locally-stored reports are unaffected by either action.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms materially, we will update the "Last updated" date and surface a notice in the app the next time you open it.
